If you are tired of using old leather armor or having to defeat some cows to get materials, then it is time for you to try a new method. You are recommended to use some cotton given by the Farming mod called Cottonly.

The purpose of the mod is to add lots of cotton to the game. It gives you some useful cotton balls that you utilize to make lots of cotton clothes. They are crafted from 100% organic matter.

Here is how you use the mod:

  • You have to punch some Grass to find some Cotton Seeds.
  • Then, you start growing Cotton Seeds to obtain some Cotton.
  • After that, you can craft string or armor using Cotton.

Try putting Cotton clothes on your character to make it look better.

Here are the Cotton items given by the mod:

  • Cotton Plant: As of version 0.7.4, it supports BotanyPots.
  • Cotton Armor: It appears in version 0.0.7.4 and you can dye it as of version 0.7.5.

Other features of the mod:

  • You are allowed to place unused seeds in a composter as of version 0.7.7.
  • You can obtain seeds from the grass as well as tall grass, which is similar to wheat seeds, as of version 0.7.6.

Note:

The loot table is not featured in version 0.7.5 and below. Hence, you must attach a method to obtain seeds, including sifting, slucing, etc., using KubeJS. Or, you can obtain them through the loot adding utility.

Cottonly Mod was created for a modpack in which you could obtain string without creating a mob spawner.
